Coronavirus Update!

A message from our Rector, Revd George Reeves

Dear Friends,

As you will all have seen – things have moved on significantly with respect to Coronavirus.
The restrictions placed on gatherings, meetings and social interaction mean that Church services cannot take place at this time.  This is very difficult news to share, but we have a duty to play our part in loving and protecting our community.

So to clarify – there will be no Sunday Church services, midweek activities or meetings at either St Mark’s Church or St Peter’s Church until further notice!

We will be endeavouring to have Church open for private prayer in line with official guidance going forward, so watch this space.  Morning Prayer, with suitable precautions, will continue to take place at 9.15am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Although we cannot meet together we can:

  • Pray for each other
  • Make phone calls
  • Send emails
  • Help people with shopping
  • Engage with online teaching and worship
  • Stay close to Jesus – spending quality time with Jesus – maybe in new and deeper ways.

Please let us know if you are unwell/ self-isolating. Phone me, email me or even write me a letter.  Val Penoyre and myself are managing prayer requests.

There are many who want to help.  Let’s stay close to God and close to each other – as best we can – in this testing time.

With every blessing

Revd George Reeves,
Rector of Levenshulme
