Who’s Who

We are the two parishes of the Church of England, Diocese of Manchester, in Levenshulme.

Rev. George Reeves

I’m really pleased to have taken on the role of Rector.

Having grown up in Wigan, I spent 20 years working in insurance for the Co-op in Manchester prior to ordination.

More recently, I’ve spent my curacy in Ashton-under-Lyne, serving the 5 churches of the Parish of the Good Shepherd.

I’m married to Katie and have sons, Dan & Nathan who are increasingly grown up, at university and 6th form college respectively.

Rev. Harriet Tate is the Associate Minister to the two Levenshulme parishes, a role she combines with teaching in a primary school.

Harriet leads the Wednesday evening Bible Study & Fellowship as well as leading services and preaching.

Rev. Daud Gill is the Assistant Curate in our two parishes.

Daud likes cricket (watching & playing) – and organising ten pin bowling for the men’s group.

If there is a meal at church, it is usually Daud who has organised it.

He has a vision for reaching out to others with the Good News of Jesus.

Val Penoyre is Reader and leads Sunday worship, preaches, helps lead the music group as well as a variety of roles behind the scenes.

Each parish has Churchwardens, who are the bishop’s officers in the parish and play a key role in everyday church life:

John Carroll is the Churchwarden for St Peter’s

David Dewar is the Churchwardens at St Mark’s.

Jo Jarrett – Children

Carolyn Bubb – Adults

Our Safeguarding Policy is the Safeguarding Policy of the Diocese of Manchester

The leadership team is strongly supported by both Parish Church Councils and many others with particular responsibilities for Sunday worship and/or midweek activities.

If you would like to know how you can get more involved, come and speak to us on a Sunday or at one of the other activities.
