Experience Easter

Approx. 300 children from local schools experienced Easter on Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th April in St Peter’s Church.

They visited scenes of different parts of the Easter story. At each scene a member of the church explained the significance of that part of the story.

Simon explains how Jesus set us an example of serving others, by washing the feet of his disciples (or in this case washing the hands of the children!).

Andrew explains how Jesus told his disciples to remember him by eating bread and drinking wine. We now do this during our service or Holy Communion.

Daud explains why Jesus died on the cross, to take the punishment that we deserved. This means that we can be forgiven.

Jesus rose from the dead, showing that he defeated death and we no longer need to fear death if we trust in him.
